Looking for a motel? Here's a suggestion that could save you some money. It's about a fact that very few people know about. Hotels will bargain with you on the room rate if you arrive very late (like 11-12 PM). Sometimes you can cut the room rate in half! Be firm with them. If they won't bargain with you, tell them you are going to the Hotel XYZ where they always cut you a deal and remind them that at 11 PM the motel has little chance of renting the room. Remind them that something is better than nothing!
